Regardless of whether or not your company conducts business via the Internet, your data may be at risk. This is true, even for packaging companies.

There are many threats that increase the likelihood of your data being damaged or stolen; in the event that this occurs a program of regular backups is all that will prevent you from losing time, information, money, and customers. However, numerous businesses don't take this seriously until after they’ve had their data stolen or damaged. The best defense is to develop and adhere to a backup and recovery plan, enforced by clear policies.

Tips & Tricks

In each issue of the newsletter we'll be featuring simple tips and tricks for improving the performance of and getting the most from your CTI solutions. These tips are provided by CTI personnel, and power-users of CTI products. In this issue we have two tips to share:

Free Training!

Many of our customers have expressed an interest in additional training related to the CTI solutions that they use. Because it isn’t always possible for packaging companies to bring CTI professionals onsite for training, we’ve come up with a free alterative that we’re sure will benefit all of our customers.

In the near future we will begin conducting training sessions via the Internet, and all current CTI customers are welcome to attend. Presently we are developing the schedule and curriculum, and welcome your suggestions as to what topics you would like to see covered in the new online classes.

Vista Compatibility

Microsoft has released their long awaited upgrade to their operating system (OS). Vista, the new OS, has many new features and greatly enhanced security. It also requires much more computing power than XP, and upgrading to Vista will likely require users to invest in new hardware.

CTI in Brazil

We're pleased to announce that in 2007 CTI expanded its presence in South America with the opening of our new regional sales office in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The new office and addition of Brazilian corrugated veteran André Fazzolari as our sales agent, will allow us to better serve corrugated producers in Brazil and Argentina.
